Our church is interested in having a sledding party on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon beginning of March for about three hours. I was wondering if you could provide us with more information. When you have a party there do you have to pay for tubing or can you just use the free slope area? I saw an old posting on the website that you charge $15 per table (5 guests at the table).. is this still the same? How much does it cost to reserve the chalet? We wanted to have a party for three hours, but also have the room available for people that don't want to sled but that want to come to socialize. Usually for our fellowship events we have no more than 30/40 people so I wouldn't imagine having more than that. Can you bring in outside food/drinks or is it still where you have to purchase your food/drinks? What is your schedule like for parties beginning of March? How far in advance do you need to reserve the chalet? Is there a deposit? What happens if you reserve and then there isn't natural snow, do you get the deposit back?

Thanks so much for your time! Look forward to hearing from you!

Glad to have you back, Mike. I continually run across those who skied during the 60s and 70s who remember how great it was then. The world has changed, but I want to give everyone a good experience here. Thanks Mark

I visited the old parkway ski chalet, hills and chairlift on 12/28/2012. It was my first time back in 35+ years. I grew up across the street and learned to ski and skate there.
It brought back wonderful memories of my teen years and yes, at 56 I could still "bomb" the old T-bar hill. Mark Ford has done a great job restoring and keeping the parkway pretty much the way many of us remember it. Well done, Mark!

No, but cross country skiing is less about skill, than about aerobic exercise. Unless you are a competitive cross country skier, the only skill you need is to maintain your balance when standing up, and being able to shuffle one foot forward of the other. Hope to see you here this season.
